Is the Cabbage Soup Diet easy to follow?

It is easy in the sense that you do not have to spend a lot of time cooking or preparing fancy, difficult meals. It is harder to follow in that it is so restrictive; you can pretty much only eat cabbage soup, fruits and vegetables.

You could not eat anything at a restaurant or a friend's house. That being said, if you are the kind of person that does not mind bland food day after day you might be able to pull this off for a little while.

I followed this diet and dropped 9 pounds in a week. At first, the soup was tasty but at the end of the week grew tiresome. This isn't a diet I could stick to for a long time. I don't think the intention is to make it a lifelong eating habit.

It helped me to jumpstart my weight loss by losing a high amount of weight; this gave me motivation to move to a more healthy diet plan. My recommendation is to stay on the program one week and resume life by eating a healthy meal plan and drinking lots of water.

I personally had zero negative side effects, other than getting really sick of eating that damn soup. But it worked for me, and more likely I will do it if I need to
loose weight again.
