Cabbage Soup Recipe Variation

This is a great positive for those who need to jumpstart their diet, but have a hard time controlling food cravings or abstaining from food. Having the luxury of eating any time you are hungry, while continuing to lose weight gives dieters the ability to stick to the eating plan for seven days, and see the rewards of having the weight drop off, quickly and in a large amount.
Here is my variation of the recipe for the Cabbage Soup Diet. First, you begin with the Basic Cabbage Soup Recipe and add some chicken drumstick to enrich the taste and make it more nutritious.
It is also suggested that you take a multivitamin supplement daily while on the diet as well. This ensures that you still receive adequate vitamin and mineral daily intake while continuing to lose weight.
Ingredients:
2 medium Spanish onions
2 green or red peppers
2 cans of tomatoes (diced or whole)
3 Carrots
1 bunch of celery
Half a head of cabbage
1 package Lipton soup mix
1 or 2 cubes of bouillon (optional)
1 48oz can V8 juice (optional)
7 chicken drumsticks
Season to taste with sea salt, ground black pepper, parsley, curry or garlic powder. Use your favorite seasoning.
Directions:
In a pot melt 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and add chopped onions. Sauté until onion is tender.
Cut green pepper stem end off and cut in half, take the seeds and membrane out. Cut the green-pepper into bite size pieces and add to pot.
Take the outer leafs layers off the cabbage, cut into bite size pieces, add to pot.
Clean carrots, cut into bite size pieces, and add to pot. Wash the chicken drumsticks and add to the soup.
If you would like a spicy soup, add a small amount of curry or cayenne pepper now. Add the 2 cans of diced or whole tomatoes.
You can use beef or chicken bouillon cubes for seasonings. These have all the salt and flavors you will need.
Use about 12 cups of water (or 8 cups and the V8 juice), cover and put heat on low. Let soup cook until ready. Season with sea salt and ground black pepper.
Note: As you can see there are ONLY 7 pieces of chicken drumsticks. One chicken drumstick for each day. You can have as much soup you would like, but you can have only one chicken drumstick a day. Enjoy.
